Corespining Plus
Want to do more with corespinning? This class will cover core spinning with art batts. Students will explore the ways of core spinning to make thick, airy, puffy yarns and also how to make neater and smoother yarns.
We will look into enhancing your core spun with auto wrap thread and the effects it creates by auto wrapping in different stages of spinning.
These corespun yarns will further be explored to create complex yarns with a combination of plying techniques.
Beyond Thick and Thin
Thick and thin yarns are great when it comes to creating textured yarns and are one of my favorites to spin. In this full day class, you will learn to spin thick and thin yarns with the intention of plying them into something magical. Using the thick and thin singles we will explore how to create Beehives, fishnets (2-ply crepe), and Rosebuds. When you leave the class youâll be able to add these techniques to your creative spinning repertoire.
Add-ins
Want to push your art yarn to new levels with textures and unique items added to your yarn? Then this is the class for you. We will look into ways of adding items like scrap yarns, novelty yarns, sequins, buttons, and beads with core-spinning and plying to make stable yarns. Be open to experimentation and bring in your curiosity.
I will be teaching Fishnet Yarns at both the camps

In this workshop I will be walking you through the steps involved in making my Oil Bottles. I will go over the ergonomic use of the extruder, my die design and how I make the different components to make the bottles.
My work is inspired by my love for fabric and how it is put together to make clothing and decorated with embroideries and textures.
I find handbuilding with extrusions to be a great way to represent my inspiration in clay.
So join me as we explore the use of the extruder to make unique work.
